Share food and talk about the emergence of the Green movement in the Twin Cities and beyond!
The big meal on the fourth Thursday in November often leaves us with excess. Bring some to share, anything from main dish to dessert.
After feasting, we’ll do what we love even more than eating: talk Green Party politics. Three Greens in Minnesota were elected to local office, two others received more than 20% of the vote, and Green votes for president doubled this year over 2012, a stunning indication of growing support. Andy Hamerlinck of the GPMN Coordinating Committee will give a brief summary of the election results, including where the party is gaining strength. Then we’ll have a conversation about where we’d like to see the Green Party go, how to keep making it stronger, ideas for raising our party’s public profile, and more.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your ideas and enthusiasm to build the Green movement! Please invite friends you think would be interested in this discussion.
