Thanks to all the hard work of our volunteers and a dramatic influx of completed petitions over the weekend and Monday, we have now significantly surpassed the number required to put Jill Stein on the ballot in Minnesota with over 4,675 signatures turned in so far!
Now it's time to file these signatures with the Secretary of State! Below is information on how you can turn in any signatures you still have:
August 9-10 – In Minneapolis there will be a Jill Stein petition drop off box at May Day Bookstore. It is located at 301 Cedar Avenue in the heart of the West Bank community in Minneapolis. The store is open daily from 12:30 - 7 pm (Monday - Friday). It is below (and the entrance is on the side of) the Hub Bike Co-Op on Cedar Avenue, close to the West Bank Station on the Green Line and several bus lines. (Unfortunately the bookstore if not accessible without going down a flight of stairs.)
August 10 - In St. Paul for the East Metro, there will be a petition drop off at Groundswell, 1340 West Thomas Avenue, St. Paul from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
You can also bring all partially or fully completed petitions to Cam Gordon, at 914 Franklin Terrace, Minneapolis, MN 55406. If none of these options work for you contact Cam at (612) 332-6210 and he can try to find someone to come and pick them up from you - we apologize for the late announcement via email if you did not see it on the Minnesota for Jill Stein Facebook page!
As we move into the next phase of the campaign we will be sending out other ways to become involved - such as volunteering for our booth at the State Fair. In the meantime here are a couple easy ways you can help from home:
- Invite your friends to like the Minnesota for Jill Stein and Green Party Minnesota Facebook pages
- Sign up to phonebank through www.jill2016.com/phonebanking
